Summary:

The role of a Workplace Designer at Infinity Group involves creating innovative and functional work environments. This includes collaborating with clients to understand their needs, conceptualizing designs, and presenting solutions that optimize space utilization and aesthetics. The Workplace Designer contributes to enhancing productivity and comfort within workplaces.

Your knowledge and skills:

  • Assist in planning and achieving day-to-day objectives, contributing to task allocation within the team.
  • Identify, define, and address complex problems through logical analysis, finding innovative solutions.
  • Check and correct issues in existing systems and processes, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with internal resources and experts to meet client needs, assisting in managing client communications.
  • Participate in client strategy discussions, providing input and support for problem-solving and service
  • development.
  • Exercise discretion in issue resolution, with moderate oversight from the Manager for non-routine situations.
  • Work as part of the team, providing support to higher-level professionals, and learning from their guidance and feedback.
  • May assist in onboarding and training new team members, under the supervision of higher-level employees.
  • Education: Associate degree or specialized training beyond high school (e.g., technical/vocational programs).
  • Minimum Experience: At least 7 years of prior relevant industry experience.

Your responsibilities:

  • Capture all known project information and influence points from previous communications of current project team.
  • Understanding of client vision/culture including current branding, website and desired attributes from the client leadership team.
  • Awareness of project Intent including the "why" and the priority of the design, function, investment and
  • schedule.
  • Attend pre-meeting for client introduction hosted by Client Relations and establish initial Strategy scope with
  • Technical team.
  • Attend initial client meeting hosted by Client Relations with the ability to support presentation and Strategy
  • scope. Save all photos, videos, control dimensions and markups in the "Existing Client Drawings" folder in the
  • File Management Platform (FMP).
  • If not previously completed, develop evidence based workplace programming and strategy.
  • Put existing conditions into Revit – save the file as “Original File No Changes” and make a new copy which will then become the new construction plan when ready.
  • Creation of initial conceptual design and test fit for internal review.
  • Schedule a design review with Preconstruction for scope review including square footage, desired finish level,
  • understanding of ceiling types and unique or specialty products.
  • Architecture review including code feasibility and business use assessment.
  • Update, maintain and approve accurate hourly time allocations in Human Resources Platform (HRP).
  • Finalize initial conceptual presentation with floor plan, inspiration visuals and material and finish selection
  • ideas.
  • Review initial presentation with Client Relations and Preconstruction for preparation of client meeting.
  • If needed, create Virtual Reality Presentation includes walk throughs and real time tours.
  • Present initial conceptual presentation to client.
  • Revisions to initial conceptual presentation including floor plan, inspiration visuals and material and finish
  • selection ideas as per direction of client and per Statement of Work.
  • Receive conceptual drawing approval from client.
  • Coordinate with Technical and Architecture resources for transitioning into Architecture. Confirm and document awareness of all aspects and intent of the project programming and design.
  • Coordinate with Technical team for awareness on any scope variation request on project or from Statement of Work.
