Summary:

The Preconstruction Manager at Infinity Group leads the planning phase of projects, working closely with design, architecture, engineering, and procurement teams. This role involves budgeting, estimating, and scheduling to ensure smooth project transitions from planning to construction. The Preconstruction Manager's role is essential in laying the foundation for successful project execution.

Your knowledge and skills:

  • Establish operational plans and provides guidance to team members, overseeing routine and non-routine areas.
  • Suggest new products, processes, and standards within operational plans, effectively managing responsibilities or projects within a budget.
  • Plan resources and delegate effectively, escalating complex problems as needed and leveraging internal resources for collaborative solutions.
  • Leverage internal resources and expertise to foster effective collaboration and create client-centric solutions.
  • Take responsibility for managing client requests and communications.
  • Collaboratively strategize with clients to develop innovative solutions for problems and explore new services, while consistently improving understanding of client and industry needs for future success.
  •  Exercise direct discretion in issue resolution, with limited oversight from the Director and moderate direction for non-routine situations.
  • Manage a small to mid-sized team, including professional individual contributors, supervisors, and/or        support-level employees.
  •  Contribute suggestions for hiring, firing, promotion, and rewards decisions within the unit, subject to manager approval and Corporate guidelines.
  • Lead, manage, train, and review the work of direct reports.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of prior relevant experience.

Your responsibilities:

  • Verification and updating of all opportunity information in Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) including project team, close date, opportunity amount and current stage.
  • Introduce applicable Infinity Group team members to client contact or stakeholders in view of project kickoff and set up of reoccurring project meeting.
  • Attend go/no-go meeting that is hosted by Client Relations
  • For Level 2 opportunities, complete go/no-go, path to contract and meeting minutes for distribution to team at go/no-go meeting.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, attend pre-meeting for client introduction hosted by Client Relations and establish initial Strategy, Technical and Architecture fees. Complete meeting minutes with action points for distribution to the team.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, attend initial client meeting hosted by Client Relations with the ability to present current path to contract, draft client contract and business engagement means. Complete meeting minutes with action points for distribution to the team and client.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, receive approved Letter of Agreement or Client Contract from Client Relations and adjust in Customer Relationship Manager (CRM).
  • For Level 2 opportunities, attend post visit Internal Breakout Meeting (IBM) hosted by Client Relations. Base level budgetary guidance review to ensure project team has consistent understanding
  • For Level 2 opportunities, review and adjust Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) along with test fit for approval by client.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, receive approval to proceed from client on Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and test fit.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, create Statement of Work with exhibits.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, support Client Relations presentation of Statement of Work to client.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, receive Statement of Work approval through Client Relations and adjust in Customer Relationship Manager (CRM).
  • For Level 2 opportunities, review and adjust Pricing Set from Architecture in relation to project intent, budget and all project info to date.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, initial quote package review and site walks – calls through to subcontractors to identify potential challenges with scope and risk level.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, review quotes and submittals with Schedule of Values on the project contract amounts, including value engineered options.  Target minimum 3 quotes per trade, materials have identified costing and availability.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, create progressive budgeting in applicable Statement of Work format for client review through Client Relations with approval of VP of Operations.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, support Client Relations in the presentation of progressive budgeting in Statement of Work format.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, revise progressive budgeting with continued alignment with the developing construction documents with continued awareness by VP of Operations.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, create and revise final Statement of Work format based upon 80% complete construction documents with approval from Director of Preconstruction.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, ongoing updates to all opportunities in the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) to ensure current accurate pipeline including Architecture Completion Date, Permit Receipt Date and Target Project Completion Date.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, support Client Relations in the presentation of Statement of Work format to client.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, receive approval on Statement of Work through Client Relations from client. Save approved SOW to File Management Platform (FMP) Project Folder.
  • For Level 2 opportunities, close Win opportunity with all correct data fields and products in Customer Relationship Manager (CRM).
  • Update, maintain and approve accurate hourly time allocations in Human Resources Platform (HRP).
  • For Level 2 projects, review quotes and submittals for final lock away package with Schedule of Values on the project contract amounts.  Target minimum 3 quotes per trade, materials have identified costing and availability.
  • For Level 2 projects, support of Technical and Construction teams on Change Orders or clarifications affecting costing.
  • For Level 2 projects, receive and update assigned Change Order drafts throughout project duration.
